About Matthew

Matthew Abel works with children and teaches them about the world.  He enjoys thinking about things and generally being a nuisance to his wife and children.  When not pretending to be a prolific writer, he bakes, plays guitar, sings, draws, gardens, builds, and mopes.  If you note sentence two, he already has everything he needs out of life.

He is a talented public speaker, storyteller, and author. His history includes leading leadership and team-building for several corporate groups, story-telling at youth events, including Blandford Nature Center, and is the author of several stories.

Matthew has worked and lived with children for over 15 years. He’s really, really good at it and is pretty good at telling you why.

  1. Hey Matt – thanks for visiting my site. Is your writing (serious or not) paying your bills right now, or are you working as well?

  2. My writing is mainly just for fun right now. I’m going to be working on getting my teaching degree and doing that to pay the bills and get financially set. My hope is to be able to save well enough so I can take writing retreats and that sort of thing.

  3. Heya,
as a book fanatic, and a fellow writer, I think you should try to stick to one thing at a time and see it through to the end. If you get an idea for something else, try to inculd it in what you are doing at that moment.
This paragraph may be a little confuzing. That’s my weak point. I carry on and on and on… Yawn!
    Bye!
